Campaign Manager

Electus have been instructed to recruit a Campaign Manager for a leading charity campaigning to improve animal welfare.

Our client has a track record that goes back decades and a bold vision to campaign for change in an interesting and exciting area. To date they have enlisted an impressive list of supporters for their campaigns.

The Role
The role will report to the Head of Public Affairs, and work closely with the policy, research, and fundraising teams. It will make a significant contribution to the strategic planning for the department involving the organisation, implementation, and management of all aspects of the charity’s public affairs campaign work.

The successful candidate will be helping to identity strategies to effectively achieve the core objective of the organisation, including designing, coordinating, and evaluating campaigning strategy.

Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong level of campaigning experience, preferably at least five years in a NGO/charity setting. This is an essential requirement for the role. Strong project management skills are a must, with a demonstrable track record in public affairs campaigns.

In addition to this a strong knowledge of the political systems of both the UK and EU, a deep understanding of working in a charity/NGO setting, and a proven track record in successful campaigns are required. The ability to work under pressure in a multidisciplinary team, to plan and implement projects, and excellent communication and advocacy skills are also a prerequisite.
