Public Affairs Officer, National Charity

A leading national charity has instructed Electus to recruit an experienced Public Affairs Officer.

Our client is a leading name in the charity field; a brand instantly recognisable across the country. They work in a high-profile and innovative way to further their aims in the political arena. Key responsibilities for the post-holder will be maintaining the high profile the charity already enjoys in parliament, identification and targeting of key figures at the local government level, and the organisation of meetings and events.

Joining an established and well respected team, the ideal candidate will have some experience of working in parliament, in a public affairs capacity, or in the political field more widely. Outstanding communication skills are a pre-requisite, as is the ability to network effectively with senior parliamentarians, leading figures across Whitehall, and, crucially, opinion formers at the local government level.

Our client’s public affairs team work on an inter-disciplinary basis: the ability to work in an innovative and eye-catching way, as well as a grasp of other communications disciplines, would be a distinct advantage.
