Strategic Political Communications Account Director

Our Client is a leading communications consultancy based in the heart of London, with offices across several continents. They have an enviable list of clients, representing truly global brands. The international team works closely with the other international offices and the UK team to execute global multimedia campaigns.

You will direct major accounts from a strategy perspective. You will have managerial responsibility over a team of dedicated professionals. It will be necessary to see projects through to completion and you will be needed to provide policy and media advice to clients at the very highest level.

A well cultivated network of connections would be advantageous as you will be expected to help generate new business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading pitches and proposals and therefore strong verbal and written communications are essential.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

•    Excellent communications skills, built on a strong period in a strategic communications agency
•    Previous managerial experience of senior colleagues
•    Previous work in national politics with experience in media relations, preferably at a strategic level
•    Exceptional media relations skills with the ability and confidence to work with major brands.
•    Experience in corporate, litigation, government and crisis communications would be very interesting to our client.

This role is a senior strategic position that will mean working at the highest levels and with some of the biggest global names. Exposure to working with global titles like the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and the BBC would be extremely advantageous.
